Transition Training Fund

Have you been made redundant or are at risk of redundancy in the Oil and Gas sector?

Why not retrain for free and gain a new qualification in Health and Safety or Environmental Management?

The Scottish Government has set funds aside to help those who have been made redundant since January 2015 (and potentially before this date if redundancy is due to the oil and gas downturn).

Am I eligible?

  • You must be resident in Scotland
  • You have been made redundant or currently at risk of redundancy from the Oil and Gas sector or its supply chain
  • You have worked in the Oil and Gas sector or the supply chain as an employee or contractor
  • You must be able to show that the training will help you to get a new job
  • You must be actively seeking employment
  • You have not commited to, or undergone, the course of training you are looking for funding for

Previous delegates have achieved success through our IOSH, NEBOSH,  IEMA, and CCNSG Safety Passport courses.

How do I apply?

Apply online for funding with Skills Development Scotland at https://transitiontrainingfund.co.uk/

The aim of the CCNSG Safety Passport Scheme is to ensure a basic knowledge of health and safety for all site personnel to enable them, after appropriate site induction, to work on site more safely with lower risk to themselves and others. National Course is a two day course for basic site safety and is valid for three years from the date of the course. The Renewal Course is designed as a one day refresher course for those who have already passed the CCNSG National Course. This has to be taken within three months of the Safety passport expiry date. If it is not taken within the specified time then the two day CCNSG National Course will have to be retaken.
