Overview

Control of substances hazardous to health (COSHH) is the law that requires employers to control substances that are hazardous to health. Most businesses use substances or products that are mixtures of substances. These products could cause harm to employees, contractors and other people. It's essential to have an understanding of how substances can harm health and to ensure that your business complies with relevant legislation, including the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH) and the Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Chemicals Regulations 2015.
