Unit GC3 is assessed by one two-hour practical examination carried out in the candidate’s own workplace. The assessment must normally be taken within 10 working days of a written examination. The practical examination is internally assessed by a qualified Pivotal Scotland Nebosh marker and externally moderated by NEBOSH.

When candidates have been awarded a unit certificte for all the units (ie, have achieved a pass in units NGC1, GC2 and GC3), the marks are added together and a final grade is awarded as follows:

Pass 150 – 179 marks
