Pivotal Scotland can offer the recently issued IOSH Managing Safely Refresher course, either on an open course basis, or In-Company.

Course Summary


A one day refresher course, for those who have completed the full IOSH Managing Safely course in the past. Modules are backed by clear examples and recognisable scenarios, with summaries to reinforce key points. Delegates receive a workbook together with additional checklists and materials supplied for subsequent use in the workplace. Successful delegates receive a Managing Safely Refresher certificate. Who Should Attend?


This course is suitable for anyone in a management or supervisory role, who has previously completed the full Managing Safely course and wishes to update their knowledge.

  • Leadership and its importance in safety.
  • Plan - Planning, Safety Policy.
  • Do - Risk Assessment, involving staff, co-operation and communication.
  • Check - Proactive and reactive monitoring.
  • Act - Learning from the past, auditing.

Assessment is by way of a 21 question multi-format assessment at the end of the training day.

Training is provided by one of our very experienced, highly qualified trainers, and delegates receive comprehensive training notes for use throughout the course and beyond.
