Pivotal overcome the odds to win FSB Award
Everyone at Pivotal was delighted to receive the Triumph over Adversity Award Area Winners trophy at the recent Federation of Small Business Scotland awards in Edinburgh.
Sandra Monaghan – Company Director – We are delighted to have received this award. From 2013, Andrew and I have strived to build a company with a reputation for excellent training, great customer service and inspired learners. 2017 in particular was a critical year for the company. Following Andrew’s diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease in 2015, he has proved inspirational to the team and is still a very active part of the company despite the progression of the disease. He works from home using assistive technology, writing blogs and reaching out to people via LinkedIn and other social media consistently helping to build our brand. His tenacity and positivity has proved inspirational to the whole Pivotal team.
This award is a recognition of the hard work and effort that the team has put in over a difficult year and it has inspired and motivated us to keep moving forward; to grow and expand the business in the future.
Our success has also been recognised by Rona Mackay MSP who has put forward a motion in the Scottish parliament to congratulate us. You can read more about it on the Scottish Parliament website.
Sandra, Tracey and Carol Anne very much enjoyed a day out of the office at the Playfair Library in Edinburgh and are now looking forward to the UK wide final of the competition in May.

The aim of the CCNSG Safety Passport Scheme is to ensure a basic knowledge of health and safety for all site personnel to enable them, after appropriate site induction, to work on site more safely with lower risk to themselves and others. National Course is a two day course for basic site safety and is valid for three years from the date of the course. The Renewal Course is designed as a one day refresher course for those who have already passed the CCNSG National Course. This has to be taken within three months of the Safety passport expiry date. If it is not taken within the specified time then the two day CCNSG National Course will have to be retaken.
