Here at Pivotal Scotland, we are delivering a course that has been developed in line with the IEMA (Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment) Associate Membership standard. IEMA is the worldwide membership body for environment and sustainability professionals. This means that completion of this course will allow you to kick start a career in environment and sustainability, specifically environmental management.

Our comprehensive Environmental Management course covers a full range of modules that will assist your ascent up the career ladder. Throughout the course you will learn how to:

  • Outline environmental principles and their relationship with organisations, products and services
  • Outline major policy and legislation and their implications for organisations, products and services
  • Outline major tools, techniques, systems and practices used to improve sustainability performance
  • Outline the role of innovation and other leading practices in developing sustainable products and services and providing sustainable solutions
  • Collect data, perform analysis, and evaluate information
  • Research and plan to provide sustainable solutions
  • Deliver effective communication and capture feedback
  • Engage with stakeholders
  • Outline tools and techniques that identify opportunities and risks
  • Identify and propose ways to improve performance
  • Support change and transformation to improve sustainability

 

 

Where is The Course and How Long Does It Take?

We deliver this rewarding course in the heart of Glasgow city centre, in a bright and modern studio space on Hope Street. It is a five-day course that is delivered within regular working hours of 9am-5pm.

Will I Receive a Certificate?

Yes, you will be awarded the IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management. By completing this course you will receive a globally recognised qualification that is the key to professional environmental knowledge and practice. Achieving this certificate will also grant you Associate membership of IEMA.

The aim of the CCNSG Safety Passport Scheme is to ensure a basic knowledge of health and safety for all site personnel to enable them, after appropriate site induction, to work on site more safely with lower risk to themselves and others. National Course is a two day course for basic site safety and is valid for three years from the date of the course. The Renewal Course is designed as a one day refresher course for those who have already passed the CCNSG National Course. This has to be taken within three months of the Safety passport expiry date. If it is not taken within the specified time then the two day CCNSG National Course will have to be retaken.
